Ms. Elizabeth (Liz) C. Battocletti, Senior Associate with Bob Lawrence & Associates, Inc., specializes in resource assessment, marketing, project development, and project financing for geothermal resources, technology, and projects. Her subspecialty is agricultural and agribusiness development in Central/Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.
Ms. Battocletti created and maintains the Geothermal-biz.com website and edits the Geothermal-biz.com newsletter. She has authored several publications and papers including state-specific summaries of geothermal's economic, environmental, and social benefits; “An Introduction to Geothermal Permitting;” the Geothermal Small Business Workbook ; the Geothermal Money Book; two editions of the Geothermal Financing Workbook; and Green Green. In addition, she has conducted surveys of geothermal resources in over 40 countries.
Prior to joining BL&A, Ms. Battocletti worked for The Citizens Network for Foreign Affairs, Inc. where she helped obtain close to $100 million in U.S. Government foreign assistance contracts, enabling her employer to grow from a staff of four with an annual budget of $250,000 to a staff of over 80 in nine offices around the world with an annual budget of over $10 million. She launched the Enterprise & Leadership Initiative, the Agribusiness Volunteer Program, and the Food Systems Restructuring Program which provided technical assistance to farmers and agribusinesses in Russia and Ukraine .
Ms. Battocletti has a Master's Degree in Russian Area Studies from Georgetown University and graduated summa cum laude from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations. She is Phi Beta Kappa, and speaks Russian and Spanish.
