State Summary:

Cove-Fort II was decommissioned in June of 2003, Cove-Fort I was decommissioned in June of 2004. Before the decommissioning of Cove Fort I, Utah geothermal plants generated 202 GWh. Both Cove Fort plants are under reconstruction and the owner has entered a PPA agreement for generation from those facilities. While the current total Utah generation is probably at around 20-30 GWh, that number should substantially increase in the next few years with the operation of these reconstructed developing plants.
